Guidelines

The following is not an exhaustive list, and I reserve the right to decline other subjects outside of my comfort zone.
If you're not sure of whether or not a subject is one I'll draw, ask before sending a form.I reserve the right to reject a proposed commission without explanation.

Basic Terms

Claiming A SlotWhen claiming a commission slot, you must fill out my form within 24 hours, or the slot will be opened once more to the public.It is the client’s responsibility to supply me with accurate depictions of their character(s). Photographic pose references are required for pieces that show any part of the body below the shoulders. I will not reference someone else's art for a pose unless that work is in the Public Domain (such as classical sculptures). Substantial edits will not be made after the initial sketch WIP has been approved, so it's imperative that references included with the form reflect the client's vision as clearly as possible.Except where specified for flash sales, etc., I do not work from "artistic freedom," and may reject a commission without proper references.ConsentBy commissioning me for character art, you certify that you have the consent from all owners of the characters being represented for me to draw those characters. This includes surprise gift art; commissioning me indicates that you've had a conversation with the recipient about their comfort level for receiving such gifts.WatermarksAll of my work will contain my signature watermark, which indicates that the commission is not free to use. However, at the client's request, I can provide additional watermarking. I will include the client or character's name if desired.PricesFinal price quotes are based on the estimated time it will take to complete a project and are affected by strength of references and complexity of the project. Base prices for my commissions are subject to change at my discretion, however, quoted rates for inquiries will be maintained once your commission is accepted and paid for.PaymentI only accept USD. Commissions are invoiced upon a quote being finalized, and payment is due in full upfront. Once paid, your commission will be moved to my to-do list. Commissions not paid within a week of receipt of the invoice will be canceled.Refund PolicyA full refund is only available if offered by me, or if 110 Days have passed without client receiving any progress on their piece. If I have started work on your piece, then a full refund is no longer an option. Only a partial refund will be offered to compensate for time spent on the piece.No refunds will be issued after the completion of the commission. Insisting upon a refund without extenuating circumstances or issuing a chargeback may result in a client being blacklisted from commissioning me again.I also reserve the right to terminate and refund a commission for any reason at any time.

Process & Streaming

TurnaroundA completion date is not guaranteed, but most commissions are completed within two months of payment, if not sooner. Commissions paid for during an on the spot stream will be done same day, barring the unforeseen. If you need a commission by a specific date, and if my schedule and energy level allow, I will rush a commission for an additional fee.Client ApprovalNon-streamed commissions may be available for review based on the commission type. Applicable commissions will be reviewed at the sketch and line phases. Emojis are generally done in a single sitting, but a sketch will be provided if desired.Constructive criticism is wonderful and helpful when insightful. If you feel that something requires an edit, please be clear, succinct, and prepared to offer references as needed to better convey your vision.I will reach out via Discord or email when there is a WIP to be reviewed, depending on client preference.Queue OrderMy commission progress is tracked on my Trello. Clients will be given a Trello card for each commission to bookmark and refer to at any time.Commissions are generally completed in the order in which they were paid, however I reserve the right to work on commissions out of order or in batches for the sake of working around art block and maintaining momentum. In the latter case, I would sketch or line multiple commissions in a sitting, breaking up the process into a more manageable workflow.Polite inquiries about the status of your project are okay! I will be sure to respond in a timely manner. Harassment, however, will not be tolerated. Harassment will get your commission canceled, your money refunded, and your name blacklisted from any future commissions.StreamingWhen time and health allow, I will endeavor to stream my work process. I prefer it because it affords my clients the opportunity to provide real-time feedback, which serves to both expedite the work process and ensure that the final product is as close to the client's vision as possible. I reserve the right to work off-stream, however, and will provide WIPs as outlined above in that case.

Usage

RightsI retain the right to display the finished piece and use it in marketing and promotional materials. The client retains a license to display the finished piece for non-profit purposes provided credit for the work remains intact (such as my signature).EditsCommissions are meant to be used as-is, and any edits to the piece by anyone but myself are strictly disallowed unless express, written permission from me is obtained. Clients may resize or crop the image for display on character profiles and social media, provided my signature remains visible and intact. If intending to use a piece as an icon, please indicate this at the time of commission, and I will provide an appropriate crop with signature for you.ProfitThe client may not profit from my work in any capacity, including reselling character art. If you sell a character design that includes my art, you may not charge more than you paid for it. My TOS applies to all of my art, even if the original client no longer owns it, and they must be included with such sales.If you’re interested in a piece that will be used for merchandise or any kind of financial profit you MUST procure the rights by paying an agreed upon commercial licensing fee.Crypto and NFTsI explicitly forbid my work from being used with any blockchain technology. My work may not, under any circumstances, be turned into or traded as NFTs. If you see my work in such a state, it is art theft, and I would appreciate you informing me of it.Generative AII do not give consent for my work to be used in connection with AI in any capacity, be that for edits of my work or for training learning models, or any other AI-related purpose.

Additional Information

Save Your Commission! After you have been supplied the finished piece, it becomes your responsibility to maintain your copy of the work. If you lose your copy of the commissioned work, and I no longer have it available, I have no obligation to, and will not, replace it. Additionally, I will not furnish art files to any entity other than the original client.A Note About AI ArtI will not work with AI art references or AI art generated characters, full stop. I reserve the right to decline to draw a design for any reason, but this one will be a constant. If it is discovered that you deliberately misrepresented your design or refs, you may be blacklisted from commissioning me again. Please do not put me in a position where I have to choose between my morals and future income.I would like to add that despite my strong personal anti-AI stance, this is not a judgement against the people who use AI. I understand the myriad reasons people may have for doing so, and I know that most people who use it do not mean to contribute to the harm it actively causes the greater art community.While it would be difficult to boil my stance down to a few sentences, my primary issue is not with the technology itself, but with the unethical ways in which AI models have been taught using stolen art. If, at some point, an ethically sourced AI model is created, I would be amenable to revisiting this policy. For the time being, this is my firm position on the matter, and I hope that it will be respected.

Commissions are currently CLOSED.------For most commission types, please complete my regular Google form to submit your commission inquiry for most types of work. For reference sheets, please fill out this form instead.
